RM-33N Water Control System Succeed Case In Saving Water

From Emka Profiles Ltd:

“The savings made were in the regional of £3000 over the 12month period. A decision has been made to install RM-33N conductivity control system supply by Solumetrix onto our other processing lines.”

We looked into water saving techniques; our old water rinsing systems were using about 100m3 of water a week.

With the new investment and the project of installing a new system, we launched a project with the view of saving water and being more efficient in the way we use water.

Our Engineer Chris Quilter designed a recycling system that re-used the water on the final rinse stage of the manufacturing of rubber seal profiles. The system incorporated an extra buffer feed tank holding 1m3 freshwater feeding 10 off PNR spray nozzles and a 1kw lower pump to pressure the final rinse spray system. Which were installed on the new 316L stainless steel 5-metre wash bath system. After the installation, the system needed a control and monitoring system for the water quality and final finishing of the rubber profiles.

We approached various water treatment companies across the UK, upon we found a company called Solumetix Measuring Solutions Ltd. The team at Solumetrix were very helpful and very competitive on price for RM-33N conductivity control system.

The purchase from Solumetrix was completed and installation of the controller and set points were installed by the site engineers.

After a year monitoring of our water usage and with the meter readings from the new production line December 2016 total usage was calculated up by the engineering department with excellent and surprising results.
